80's Shoulders!

Call it easy or creative but I couldn't find a better topic to start a blog in 2016. Let alone the trendsetting actors and bloggers, off-shoulder are current favorite of everyone! And, in my case they are an obsession. Off-shoulders are not something new. Like most of the recent trends, they too were in hype in the late 80's and early 90's. Personally, I think they add a beautiful touch to an edgy outfit.

In the past 6 months, I haven't seen a single clothing brand (online or in-store) that is not selling off-shoulder pieces. Maybe because of the summer  or because of its chicness but this trend is totally on roar nowadays.

The best part about the cold-shoulder trends are that anyone and everyone can carry it. It's chic, classy and sexy at the same time! Though I instantly double tap most of the off-shoulder styles on Instagram but there are few of my absolute favorite stars who are carrying the Bardot trend with enough panache.

Chiara Ferragni in David Koma
Sachin & Babi
Nausheen Shah

Not just these but there are some amazing starts and bloggers who are made me go cray-cray over their look but these are my personal favorite.

Also, I think we all are stylish in our own way and I wouldn't change anybody's style but there's nothing wrong in stepping outside our comfort zone and trying new things or trying old things in new ways.

Few of my favorite tricks for wearing a Bardot neckline are -

  • Wearing shirt as an off-shoulder top.

  • Adding the choker charm

  • Pairing Bardot top with wide leg trouser

  • Monotonous outfit with statement accessory

Well, I really hope you guys liked my ideas. If any of you try it then please send me pictures. Also, tell me what's your favorite off-shoulder top!

I look you liked my first post. It might not be Ah-mazing but I promise I will improve blog after blog.

Fall Winter 2016 Couture Review

I am no Anna Wintour or Anna Dello Russo to know all the nuances of fashion. I don't have an international magazine where fashion and lifestyle publicist and brands are trying hard to get a coverage but I am somebody who loves and enjoys fashion. Fashion for me is Christmas! It might sound a bit exaggerated but trust me every fashion week or any other lifestyle event I get super hyped.

So, last week was Fall Couture Week and it was magnificent, to say the least! As usual, the designers out did themselves but for me 'Atelier Versace' was it! Donatella Versace is a brilliant woman and I love both the brand and the women so I might be partial but they slayed it on the runway.

This years collection was sexy (like all their collection), the bold sheer panels were perfect for a red carpet event or for something really special. What I really liked about this collection was color blocking. Look at the collection, they brought a whole new look to the good old slit gowns with colorful belts and silk wraps. The collection was huge on drapping and pattern but few pieces had nice detailed embroidery. All in all I would say Versace was a 'HEAD TURNER'.

Ralph & Russo

They are stunners! They are known for their big silhouettes and intricate embroidery. Every year they take it a notch up. However, this time, I feel little underwhelmed. Not that they were not good, they were brilliant as always but I felt like I have already seen the collection and few of the pieces were something that Channel would do. The fall couture collection for me was somewhere between Paris social events to Greek plays.

I guess I was expecting more out of them. Anyways, Here are few of my favorite pieces from the collection.

Stephane Rolland

Honestly, I had never heard of him. Mr. Rolland is one of those designers who make fashion weeks so exciting. What brilliant work! This is the first time I am seeing his work and I am absolutely mindblown! From silhouette to fabric to styling, everything was on point. Though I am not a big fan of balloon hems but God he even made it look good. His fall couture collection is beautiful, red carpet worthy and totally lust worthy!

Take a look at the collection and tell me if I am wrong.

P.S Most of the outfits were in black and white so brownie point for that!

Armani Prive

Now here's a couture brand that I would absolutely wear. Talk about all the jazz while still being wearable. Major reason why I loved the fall couture collection of Armani Prive because it had everything I like. Palin outfits with just one elaborate feature, structured jackets, power suit, larger than life bows, Armani Prive had it all.

I like a collection that is classy yet bold and this one was exactly like it. Though it might not be as coutourish as expected but I enjoyed it so big love to them!

Apart from these, there were few amazing shows and brilliant designs like Giambattista Valli and Alexandre Vauthier but these were my favorite. This is just part one I will be sharing my view on few other collection and my next blog so stay tuned.

These are my personal view and I would love to read what you guys feel about the collection. Let me know here or on any other social media platform.
